1907Damas is launched and goldsmith operations are established. The company begins to set new standards in quality
1959Damas opens its first retail outlet in the Gold Souk in Dubai. Its authentic craftsmanship and innovation guarantee that every piece is pioneered with remarkable design
1970Damas begins wholesale gold operations in Dubai. The brand becomes a household tradition in the Middle East and is worn by women across several generations
1985Damas retail stores start selling international brands. This step helped the company gain more recognition as a leading jewellery brand
1988Damas launches its first in-house brand. Constantly exploring ways to invent new trends in an ever-changing market and position the company as a trendsetter.
1995Damaas establishes the Diamond Division to manage the sourcing of loose stones and finished jewellery
2000Damas’s business expands to Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain through controlled entities. The first boutique opens in the UAE
2006Damas establishes a 30,000 m2 manufacturing unit in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre.This is where the majority of the company’s in-house designs get manufactured
2012Damas partners up with Forevermark, the diamond brand from the De Beers Group of companies to become exclusively available for the first time in the Middle East
2013Damas reengineers its company vision and direction to focus on the high-end jewellery market. It moves its positioning from a famous jewellery brand in Dubai to a famous international luxury brand from Dubai.
2016Today, Damas is the leading luxury jewellery and watch retailer in the Middle East. Headquartered in Dubai, it manages over 40 international brands alongside its own in-house brands
